FAMILY MEMBERS ARRANGED IN DATE ORDER

Note; Some of the early information below is a little 'speculative'!

171?-1787 WILLIAM GILBERT

Born; c.1715?
Married; (1) ??
Married; (2) Ann Weston (17??-1783) on 11 Feb 1752 at Waldron

Died; Oct 1787.
Buried at Waldron 21 Oct 1787. There is an entry for this in the parish record.
A hypothetical idea is that William might have been born around 1715, at an unknown place outside Waldron, had married and had two children by the 1740s, then lost his wife. Around 1750 he moved to Waldron with his children, eventually to marry a second time to Ann Weston in 1752.
Certainly there are no records at Waldron parish of the Gilbert family prior to 1752 (the marriage of William Gilbert to Ann Weston), but plenty of records thereafter. So it might be assumed that the family moved into Waldron around that time, but where from?
