At the 1871 Census the family was living at 6 Clermont Road, Shoreham, Sussex, with a cook and a housemaid.
Joseph was described as a retired corn dealer.
At the 1891 Census the family was living at Maycroft Cottage, Convent Road, Steyning,
Sussex with one servant, and Joseph was decribed as "Living on own means".
Died; 1897 Brighton.

Parents; Joseph Soddy (1820-1897) = Sarah Shipley Slipper (c1825-18??).
At the 1871 Census the family was living at 6 Clermont Road, Shoreham, Sussex. Theresa was aged 4.
At the 1891 Census the family was living at Maycroft Cottage, Convent Road, Steyning. Theresa was aged 24.
Married; ?? Peters, Doctor of Music.
They moved to St.John's, New Brunswick, Canada.
